Noel Redding ex-Jimi Hendrix Experience bassist, founded Fat Mattress in early 1969 with former Flowerpot Men and The Ivy League singer Neil Landon, ex- The Lonely Ones bassist Jim Leverton and drummer Eric Dillon. The 1969 debut album featured Chris Wood of Traffic on guest flute.
This double CD set features everything that the band recorded between 1968 and 1971, anthologised on one package for the first time. There are three full albums (the third, unreleased), plus contemporary non-album singles. It also features previously unreleased material, including a Radio 1 Top Gear session from 1969.
