Biography:
17 year old singer songwriter from a small Cotton Mill town called Radcliffe in the North West. Daniel has been playing piano for seven years but only in the last three years started singing, he has some 80 original tunes of his own already down and he is currently writing with American Artist Viola Wills" and producers "Michael Graves". He has been writing from the age of 14 and with the rapid growing interest in the industry its proved that Daniel is one of the most exciting teenage finds this decade. He is tipped by many gurus to be the leading breakthrough of 2006 ...
MY STORY...... "From a young age I was always fascinated with music. I was about 5 when I used to watch my grandad play the organ. I remember I used to bug him to lift the lid and let me have a go, and my love for playing has never left me since. I got my first keyboard at about 7 years old and began to learn classical. However my heart never lied there. I was always trying to turn symphonies by Bach and Beetoven into the pop songs I was listening to at the time. There were too many rules for me and I felt I belonged somewere else. That some where else was songwriting. No rules, I could make my own up. The biggest influence through my life has been Elton john. I used to listen to tracks like "Your Song", "Dont Let The Sun Go Down On Me" "Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word" those are the kind of masterpieces that made me start writing and opened my ears. Bernies words amazed me, his rhyme, Eltons voice, his playing and his melodies. I wanted to craft songs like them. For a nine or ten year old an impossible task but the drive was always there and is to this day. I was learning through just listening to great pop songs. Then onto my piano to try and create something that I could call my very own. Massive influences through my life so far include, Elton, Stevie wonder, Garth Brooks, Billy Joel, The Beatles, Cat Stephens, Phil Collins and Rod Stewart to name a few. More recently Im loving the great tunes thats coming out of albums by people such as Coldplay, Keane, James Blunt, Kelly Clarkson, Norah Jones and Kt Tunstall. I love working with great musicians and great minds. I have been fortunate enough to work with some at the very top and I can't tell you how much that means to me. I write when ever I feel the need, which seems to be a lot of the time. Whether thats spending a couple hours on the piano or ten or twenty seconds making a melody up. My minds nearly always there".
